A code of ethics in the day-to-day functioning of each individual member is an important element of doing business as an antiques dealer.

Deal honestly with our customers and fellow antique dealers.
Identify merchandise as non-antique or as reproductions and price accordingly.
Provide information about merchandise we are selling to the best of our knowledge and ability.
Report to law enforcement officials any information received about antiques or other merchandise believed to be stolen or offered for sale by unauthorized persons.
Identify ourselves at all times as professional antique dealers, pay and charge fair prices for merchandise bought and sold, and make a practice of displaying prices on all merchandise.
Promote and advance the concept of ethical dealing in the antiques business, while developing and maintaining high standards of integrity among persons engaged in the antiques business.
Encourage and stimulate commerce, trade and business in antiques and articles of historical value in Maryland.
